I used screen+irssi for years. Since last year I’ve switched to @RiotChat (now @element_hq) with IRC-Matrix bridge.
@matrixdotorg is an open standard for #decentralised secure communication. It’s #FOSS, it’s federated, it’s great! I’m there as @cybette:https://t.co/yUmtwWlcRN

@coffeeliver22 As I proceed to check out the accessibility-focused #Linux distros, I found that both Sonar and Vinux are no longer in active development.
I hope that’s a reflection of much improved #accessibility in the general distros!

One simple thing we can do is to add alt-text to images we attach to tweets. It’s something I have usually neglected because of my priviledge, but I’ll do my best to include that going forward!

I’m reminded of a time back in Singapore (this was a long time ago, in the mid-90s) when I volunteered to teach an ‘Internet 101" class at the School for the Deaf. They were delighted with the possibilities of email and IRC for more direct, non-voice communications.

What do you use to manage your #passwords?
I use @Bitwarden across multiple devices. With apps for major desktop & mobile OSes + browser extensions and even a #commandline tool, you can easily and securely access your vault from anywhere.

@Bitwarden #Bitwarden is #opensource, provides end-to-end AES-256 bit encryption, has a bug bounty program, and gets regular security audits.
You can even self-host it if you prefer more control of your data.

@opencollect lets you accept donations and sponsorships, manage expenses, and share a transparent budget with your #community.

Another service I’ve noticed some people using is @liberapay
It’s #nonprofit, #opensource, and you can use it to fund creators and projects.
The team feature lets project members share the received funds. And it supports multiple languages/currencies.
